Coaching and Supervision for Coaches

‘Coaching supervision is a formal process of professional support, which ensures continuing development of the coach and effectiveness of their coaching practice through interactive reflection, interpretative evaluation and the sharing of expertise.‘ — Bachkirova, Stevens and Willis 2005.

Purpose

To help you be the best coach you can be, through:

My Approach

I became a coach because one of my favourite things is helping others to learn and grow. So it’s a natural extension that I find satisfaction in helping coaches be at their best.

As an accredited ICF coach, I offer mentor coaching based around its eight competencies. This often involves us listening together to examples of your coaching and digging down into each of the competencies.

I also offer supervision services, giving you a place to learn and grow as a coach. We will make sure your coaching is sound, safe and effective. It’s a helpful way to explore boundary issues and ethical dilemmas, and to develop your coaching practice.

Coaching for coaches is centred around topics you want to cover as an individual. It prioritises your own thinking space as you grow your skills and experience as a coach.

I offer 1:1 and group sessions for mentor coaching and supervision. Coaching for coaches is always 1:1.

What Clients Say

"I began coaching sessions with George because I had recently started a new business and needed some help with clarifying my direction. George helped me find my way and remove self-imposed limitations.

I was amazed at the insights I gained about myself. George’s calm manner is soothing and helped me feel safe. I hope to continue to work with George to help me move forward in my business. "

Timeframe

For coaching this process typically lasts for a 3, 6 or 12 months partnership.

Irrespective of the timeframe, our partnership will consist of 3 phases:

1) An exploratory session to plan goals you have for your coaching

2) A midpoint session to assess where we have progressed

3) A forward planning session to look ahead beyond our time together.

For supervision and mentor coaching, I’m keen to meet you where you are.
For established coaches it’s common to work with a supervisor once every month.
For newer coaches, mentor coaching and supervision can take place more frequently to accelerate your development.
